United Nations Day is celebrated annually on October 24 and marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. On this day, the United Nations takes the opportunity to recognize its achievements as it relates to achieving the Global Goals, its commitment to serve the people of Trinidad and Tobago and identifies areas where it can further strengthen its partnership with the country.

In commemoration of United Nations Day, the United Nations in Trinidad and Tobago has recognized 8 youth to be Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Youth Ambassadors. As SDG Youth Ambassadors, they are charged with effectively promoting the four (4) Priority Areas of the MSDF, representing their community’s youth and supporting efforts to engage young people in the realization of the SDGs both through strategic opportunities with the UN and through their existing initiatives, platforms and networks.
